QUELLES CONTRE-IMAGES DE LA BANLIEUE ?
QUI VA SE RAMENER À LA FÊTE ? (7’19’’)
Young students from the Lycée René Cassin, Noisiel (77) with Stephen Loye and Théo Robine-Langlois.
Our starting point is the town of Noisiel in Seine-et-Marne, where our high school is located.
We chose to show another image of the suburbs, one that is far from the stereotypes conveyed by the media: an image of festivity and cheerfulness that focuses on social activities, big football tournaments, dances and games that are part of the life of its inhabitants.
To this end, we have collected videos and recreated a narrative through editing and voice-over. By mixing images from different registers (official, promotional, fictional) and from various periods, we put together an unconventional and embodied vision of the suburbs.
This film was realised by young students from the Lycée René Cassin in Noisiel (77): Ali AL HUSSIN, Mathys BOUDHOULALL, Jordani BROOKS, Lorenzo CHENNOUFI, Enriqué DE BASTOS, Yohan ETIENNE, Damien FLAMENT, Abigaëlle GANOT, Keyvinn GOKOUL, Rafaël Jorge CABEZA, Abdramane KANE, Mohammed MEGUEBEL, Adrianna NDONGALA MAMPUYA, Kévin PIPART, Thya RASCLE, Clément ROY, Lenny RUBAL, Victoire SHUTSHA-TSHOFU, Emma TETTEHFIO, Ambre THOQUENNE, Marius THOU-KEM, Nour ZAHOUT, with artist and film director Stephen Loye, writer Théo Robine-Langlois and Literature and History-Geography teacher Mathieu Fonvieille.
