PERFORMER LE TRAVAIL

LE JEU DE L'EFFORT (7'13")

Grade 4 and Grade 5 students of Charles Péguy School in Maisons-Alfort (94) with Pauline Pastry.

Children stage manual actions from various professions and sectors of activity. Suddenly, a bell rings, and the gestures blur, the dialogues become incomprehensible, and the bodies freeze to break free and invent a repertoire of choreographic movements, harmonious and free. This project is a reflection carried out by the children on the professional world, its framework, its codes, its visual representations. Together, they seek to move the standardized gesture out of its initial context.
