ELLE NE PEUT SE DÉCIDER (6’03’’)

Young students from the École Julien Lacroix and recreational centre, Paris, 20th arrondissement, with Anaïs-Tohé Commaret.

How can one deconstruct or free oneself from gender injunctions through images? By-way-of formal experiments, the children tried to bypass the clichés found in many fictional characters, taking into account the desires of each one. If heroes showed their feelings and heroines wore armor, would our world be any different?

This film was realised by young students from the École Julien Lacroix and recreational centre in the 20th arrondissement of Paris: Evane AOUATE, Maya BARA YORDANOVA, Adèle BROUTARD, Calixthe CAIRO, Olivia CÉRET, Alice DOUNIA AOUIDAT, Basile LAFONT-MARTINEAU, Liam LAGOS D'ARIA, Mélissa OUMOHAND, Zohra MECELLAH CANIMAC, Evguenia PETROV, Jana YOUSSEF, with artist-videographer Anaïs-Tohé Commaret.

A creation carried out as part of the "Regards Croisés" program.
